(In)visible women – transmedia project

Transmedia storytelling is a method of telling a single story across traditional and digital platforms. (In)visible Women Transmedia Piece uses a combination of physical objects (a virtual reality headset, zine, medical paper, postcard and pen) and digital media (audio, video, and 360 video) to tell the story of Lily’s experience of pregnancy.

(In)visible Women was co designed with Interactive Artist Maya Chowdhry.

The audio-story was performed by Edinburgh based Performer Marilyn Wilson and recorded at Offbeat Studio, Edinburgh.

360 video editing by Ricardo Vilela.

The project was funded by the Usher Institute, University of Edinburgh and launched at the Representing Women’s Health Virtual Conference #RWH2020 in June 2020.
